God Sees The Affliction Of His People – Rev. James Solomon

God sees every affliction and remains faithful to deliver those who trust in Him.

Sermon Notes

Exodus 5:1; Exodus 3:7–10

1 And afterward Moses and Aaron went in, and told Pharaoh, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Let my people go, that they may hold a feast unto me in the wilderness.

7 And the LORD said, I have surely seen the affliction of my people which are in Egypt, and have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters; for I know their sorrows;
8 and I am come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up out of that land unto a good land and a large, unto a land flowing with milk and honey; unto the place of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites.
9 Now therefore, behold, the cry of the children of Israel is come unto me: and I have also seen the oppression wherewith the Egyptians oppress them.
10 Come now therefore, and I will send thee unto Pharaoh, that thou mayest bring forth my people the children of Israel out of Egypt.

God is not blind to the struggles of His people. Just as He saw the suffering of Israel in Egypt, He sees every burden, hardship, and challenge we face today. The Lord heard their cries, remembered His promises, and sent Moses to declare freedom from bondage.

Pharaoh represents every force that seeks to keep God’s people bound, whether fear, addiction, oppression, delay, poverty, or spiritual resistance. Yet God’s desire has always been deliverance, freedom, and advancement for His children.

Through Moses, God confronted Pharaoh with a clear command: “Let My people go.” In the same way, God continues to work through His Word, His Spirit, and through Jesus Christ, our ultimate Deliverer, to bring freedom and restoration to His people.

No matter how long the struggle has lasted, God sees, God hears, and God is able to deliver. The same God who brought Israel out of Egypt still has the power to break chains, open doors, and lead His people into victory.

Declaration:
“The Lord sees my situation and is working on my behalf. Every chain of bondage is broken, every obstacle is removed, and I walk in the freedom, victory, and purpose God has prepared for me in Jesus’ name. Amen.”
